The event which fisrt edition held in 2000 already received local and international competitors especially from Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and as well as India. The event also have been held in conjunction with Meredeka Celebration. For this year, we should thanks to the race promoter -Sepang International Circuit for the very low price ticket (50 cent) indicate of 50 years of nationhood.
The race has been catogerized into 4 classes which is Class 'O' (open), Class 'A' (above 1,900 cc ), Class 'B' (1,601-1,900 cc), Class 'C' (1,600 cc) and each entry will comprise of three driver.
In the race, each class will have their favourite and common types of car such as:
Class 'O' - Porsche 911 and various type of Lotus.
Class 'A' - Honda Civic & Integra Type R
Class 'B' - Proton Satria GTi and Honda Integra
Class 'C' - Proton Satria and Honda Civic
Others including Nissan Skyline, Toyota Corolla 101 (champions in Class 'C' but revoke later for certain reason), BMW Z4M (favourite but early retired due to technical problem), Ford Falcon and Mitsubishi Evo 7 and few more.
According to the source, of 77 cars, only 42 managed to finish while the rest are whether disqualified or DNF.
