50 MERDEKA CARS BY TOPGEAR (MALAYSIA EDITION)

Got opportunity to read TOPGEAR (Malaysia) magazine. One of the article which i like to share is about how our automobile industry goes along with our national progress after 50 years of independence. The magazine could even highlight the 50 cars represent the own era begin with 1957 and up to 2007. Nice job guys.

I can show you below about some of the pages while for the rest you should get your copy August Edition of TOPGEAR Malaysia for only RM10.00. Worth buying i promise you.

for 1958 it was represented by Moris Minor and this car still can be seen on our road today compare to their 'buddies'.

1968-1977 Japan cars begun to reach our land with Mazda Capella RX-2 in 1972 but continental cars still dominance our road.

1978-1987 era gave us a quantum leap when our country celebrate the birth of national car Proton Saga in 1985. The industry also saw the Japan cars having bigger share market pie.

1988-1997 we been offered another national car by Perodua. First car launched by Perodua was Perodua Kancil in 1994.

In 1998-2007 era, our industry is quite matured with new model have been introduced almost every month by various car distributors by their sales agent. Customer getting confused and feeling dizzy in choosing the right car to be owned.

For the recent year, we register about 500,000 new cars annually showing that the industry is as matured as the country.
