IKEA is a Swedish multinational company dealing with wide range of unique furnitures. Their unique business concept also is a key factor for their success. IKEA is privately owned by Ingvar Kamprad (source). He is the richest man in Europe and the fourth in the world according to the Forbes magazine.

For the new and small entrepreneurs out there; they should be creative in creating marketing tools and IKEA can be a useful place to visit (but remember, dont bring along your wife).

saya terbaca satu buku baru-baru ini yang mengatakan bahawa kestabilan jawatan penting yang kita pegang di mana-mana organisasi adalah 85% bergantung kepada bagaimana kita berinteraksi dengan orang lain. manakala selebihnya sebanyak 15% adalah pengetahuan spesifik dalam bidang tersebut.

ramai antara kita sebelum ini beranggapan sebaliknya termasuklah saya.

apabila saya renungkan kenyataan itu dan merujuk kepada organisasi tempat saya berkerja ternyata ianya benar.

kemahiran komunikasi yang tinggi telah memberi peluang yang lebih cerah kepada seseorang itu untuk peningkatan kerjaya manakala bagi usahawan atau ahli perniagaan pula mereka akan membawa pulang hasil perniagaan yang lebih tinggi.

apabila diperhatikan kepada isu graduan menganggur yang rata-ratanya bumiputera, sebenarnya inilah juga yang menjadi puncanya.
dimanakah silapnya?. adakah graduan itu sendiri yang tidak menggilap potensi itu atau sistem pendidikan negara yang terlalu berasaskan peperiksaan (examination oriented)?

saya pernah membaca satu buku yang membandingkan sistem pendidikan di beberapa negara lain. kajian itu mendapati sistem pendidikan Amerika Syarikat lebih mementingkan 'membebaskan potensi anda' (unleash your potential). Kanak-kanak diajar untuk mencipta kreativiti, diasuh supaya bercakap di khalayak ramai dan menggalakkan pemberian kerja rumah berasaskan projek. Di negara Jerman, sistem pendidikan berorientasikan perantisan (apprenticeship) jadi tidak hairanlah jika Jerman merupakan negara industri. Di negara Jepun, sistem pendidikannya berdasarkan hafalan. ini dilihat sebagai satu cara untuk menajamkan pemikiran mereka.

manakala sistem pendidikan negara kita pula adalah hasil peninggalan British.

thinking also on how to get listed...sound possible but not in this near future. click here to find out more.
Not long time ago one blogger had put his effort to do this.
the result show that the certains blogs were included in both list with different positions.
some are not listed at each other.
actually i cannot make comparison here since this effort not being done at the same time and they also explain about some constraint over this efforts.

public holiday

today is public holiday for me and my spouse. actually i working in Selangor state and Thaipusam day is public holiday while my wife work in KL, she enjoy the federal territory day.
...i feel sorry for the readers of others states..hahaha...

the special case for my company is...we have declared thid friday as holiday (but of course we need to subsitute with another coming working saturday) and easily i get 4 days holiday straight..what's a good company...

the readers who have good and flexible working hours in their company can share with us...ok

i'm back

actually all of us have matters to do. so do i. when we stay in this world we play many roles. as for me, i'm an employee cum father and husband to the family. sometime we add more to role in our community such as committee in residential association.

these roles demand time from us and not only time it also need us to sacrifice our money, energy and a few precious thing more.
